Netflix’s popular international production, Berlin, is preparing to return for its second season. The series, focusing on the past of the Berlin character (known from La Casa de Papel and who embarked on his own solo adventure in 2023), has announced its official release date. Netflix, having begun promotional efforts, has officially announced the release date for the new season.
Berlin Returns with Season 2
The second season of Berlin, titled Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine, will be available on Netflix on May 15th. The story of the new season will take place in Spain and, as in previous seasons, will focus on a complex heist plan.
The new heist story also connects to a revenge story, which is expected to further reveal the dark side of the Berlin character.
Pedro Alonso once again brings the iconic Berlin character to life. In the second season, all members of the heist gang return along with him. Among the gang members are Michelle Jenner (Isabel), who plays Keila, a prominent figure in electronic engineering, and Tristán Ulloa (The Asunta Case), who plays Damian, a benevolent professor and Berlin’s confidant.
Also, Begoña Vargas (Welcome to Eden) plays Cameron, a “kamikaze” who always lives on the edge of a precipice; Julio Peña Fernández (Through my Window) plays Roi, Berlin’s loyal butler; and Joel Sánchez plays Bruce, the gang’s action man.
The main additions to the cast for the new season have also been announced. Inma Cuesta, José Luis García-Pérez, and Marta Nieto will be featured in the new story. Inma Cuesta plays Candela, the newest member of Berlin’s gang.
